It is that time of year where the weather is scorching but Fall merchandise starts appearing in stores. There is something about this incongruity that really bothers me but in a way it serves to remind us that this too will pass and eventually the heat index won't be 105 degrees.
Now if I just weren't the only person in my household refilling the ice cube tray!
Sure could use a little "fall-like" weather around here. I am so tired of being closed up inside with the A/C running. It is like being closed up during the winter.
ReplyDeleteHaven't heard from you in awhile. Are you o.k.? I'm sure you are busy getting your son ready for college. Hope the temperature has gotten maybe a bit cooler. Not here! Ugh!!!! Hope you write soon and let us know how you are. Miss your posts!
ReplyDeleteFrom WITM - None of my posts are posting and I don't know how to fix...
ReplyDeleteGood to know you're still around! I'll be in Chicago for a whole week next week and would love to meet you if you're so inclined. Hope you are able to post again in any case!
ReplyDeleteI wrote something yesterday, but I don't know why it didn't show up. Sorry about the posting situation. Hope it can get resolved soon! Just want you to know that you are missed!
ReplyDeleteMuch love!!!
hope all is well. I miss your posts..
ReplyDeleteHello everyone from WITM. I do not know why I have not been able to publish my posts. It has been a wild and crazy summer getting my oldest ready for college but he will finally be off on Saturday! Whoo hoo!!! He told me today that this summer has been the hardest for all of us. Just so busy with losts of emotional transitions to work through. My youngest is eagerly awaiting his opportunity to be Top Dog for a change.
ReplyDeleteLast Sunday my oldest competed in 4H speech at the Illinois State Fair. It was very exciting and another notch on his resume/experience belt. We drove 7 hours that day and upon arriving home, my son got back in his car for another road trip (5 hours one way) to help his girlfriend move into her dorm at her Iowa college!
Advice to those still with kids to get off to college: try and take the week before your child leaves off from work. My two sons and I have all been working our jobs and only now realize that with only one more day to go, we still haven't made it to the dollar store for his stash of needed bath items!
Hope to figure out this computer/blog glitch when I fianlly have some time after my son is safely delivered to his campus.
So glad to see a post from you! Hoping all goes well with the college move and transitioning.
ReplyDeleteI hope for you now some EMPTY time with no errands and no blog glitches, just time to savor and maybe reflect on this busy summer. Time invested in who and what we love can leave us full but drained at the same time. Please give yourself a cup of tea, or some special moment, and let it be a hug from us!
ReplyDeleteLOL!! Always in stores they rush to the next holiday or season. Life is in such a hurry isn't it? Why is that? What is the rush all about?
